I started blogging long time ago. I wrote poetries and just some romantic, broken or happy stories, well mostly broken. I look and read my past blogs and I laughed. I'm laughing so hard I had to hide it. I think I was 17 years old then. I'm 26 now.

Sometimes I forget what I did, I forget what happened to my college days that it went by so fast. What happened in between that? and writing, blogging was definitely a great idea to tell stories, so even if no one would ever read your blog, or nobody you know would read this blog, it's still a good idea to write it down, because someday, you will read it again and you will remember. You will remember that some part of your daily life mattered to you, and this is it.

So today i'm going to start blogging, about my Life: being a Wife to a Military, being a Mother to a toddler, being a Filipino in an American land, being something that I know i'm good at -- being an entrepreneur.

After I graduated from High School I wanted to be a fashion designer. I didn't go to college right away, but I took a vocational course which is Fashion Design, then after that I realized what I want -- NOT a fashion designer. lol. So I went to college and I took BS- Entrepreneurship. I like it, I really like it, I wasn't the best student but I learned a lot, and what really did it is that making me realize what I really want, an Entrepreneur.

"Entrepreneurship has traditionally been defined as the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which typically begins as a small business, such as a startup company, offering a product, process or service for sale or hire.[6] It has been defined as the "...capacity and willingness to develop, organize, and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit." -Wikipedia

I ran as a House Representative of Entrepreneurship and no, i didn't get the position LOL

This was us, the whole Entrepreneurship class

At 21, I opened up my own nail salon. My Father funded it. LOL I thought I had it all figured out so I just did it, I did everything, literally. From Business Planning, all the legal papers, marketing, even painting the salon, designing the chairs and all the equipments needed. It was so hard, after few months I just keep telling myself that it will keep up, but after 6 months I gave up. I was losing more than making, but i definitely learned my lesson the hard way. They actually taught us that in college, that LOCATION IS VERY IMPORTANT. The location I pick, which was like a small mall in a province, didn't do it, because there wasn't enough people coming in. I kept my head up because i know when the door closes, another one opens. Aaaannd yes, it did!

Painting the shop, I wanted a vivid Filipino traditional look

I designed these chaired hammock to match my theme and

painted bamboos as background

I came up to my Aunt to tell her my situation, she is my inspirations, she is one of the few people I always look up to, I idolizes her. She is literally a "rugs to riches" type of story. So she told me to close that branch and we'll improvise. My "Cozart Nail Spa" who's sole proprietor, is now a Corporation! with its new name "Cozart Spa" that offers various cosmetic services, body spa, nail spa, facial spa and even cosmetic surgeries. I managed the day to day operation, sales and marketing. We now have 4 branches.

I was living a pretty good life, but then I had to make a sacrifice. I left everything to move to Guam to be with my Sailor and it was the best decision i've ever made! Now we have an adorable baby boy!

While being here, I noticed the lack of resources and the sky high prices! So, I saw an opportunity and start making personalized party favors, and that was the beginning of it. I named it "671 Party Zone". 671 being the zipcode of Guam, i just thought it's easier to attract clients, and i think it was effective. I'm finally able to do something and generate money of my own -- and yes i'm at it again!! The reason why I think i was doing pretty good was, my clients keep coming back and I'm being referred to their friends.

Some people ask me how I do it, you know having a baby, working at home and being a wife -- time management, yes! Although I have a different sleeping pattern, it works for me and my baby! Me and my baby wakes up around 12 noon, and I start my day doing everything, and when it's time for my baby and my husband to go to bed, that's when i start working and i usually finish working around 5-6am. Sometimes I make my husband breakfast then go to sleep. Up to this day, that has been my routine. I'm also studying short courses and it's live webinar Shaw Academy. My classes starts at 4am til 5am, so yup, that's my Life work and study at night.

At this point, we have less than 6 months to stay here til we will move back to the mainland, and I know i wanted to continue this business, so i decided to change my business name so it will not limit my target market. I changed it to "Creative Fayevors" and here we are now, on this blog.

So, to sum it all up, I'm Faye Koch (pronounced as "cook") and i'm a wife, a mother, a Filipino (and my English is not perfect) and a creative entrepreneur. Aside from doing crafts, I have a crazy love for SHOES!! and one day I will share here my shoe collection, I also have a love for make up. I am certified in Personal Nutrition and i love making healthy meals, I stay active, I do XTF Max, a home work out every day, I also do boxing train in our yard. I'm certified in Digital Marketing, Blogging and Content Marketing and i am now currently trying to earn a certification in Adobe Photoshop. I have a lot of things going on but I handle them pretty well and I love doing them. I pretty much don't have friends here so the internet is my best friend. LOL I hope I can keep up with blog posting! Good luck to me! and welcome to the blogging World!
